Hunger Action Month: Community Food Drive
We’re closing out our signature Hunger Action Month events by giving the entire community an opportunity to take action!
Join the Food Bank of West Central Texas on September 26 from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. for our Hunger Action Month Community Food Drive.
Throughout September, volunteers have joined us to pack boxes, bag fresh produce, and experience firsthand some of the work that goes into providing food for our neighbors across West Central Texas. For our final signature event, we’re inviting the entire community to help us fill the Food Bank!
Donating is easy! Simply bring a bag of non-perishable food and drive through the Food Bank. Our volunteers will unload your donation for you, so you don’t even have to leave your vehicle.
Most-needed items include:
- Canned fruit
- Canned vegetables
- Canned meats
- Canned soups
- Other shelf-stable, non-perishable foods
And there’s a little something for you, too: everyone who donates a bag of non-perishable food will receive a FREE Hunger Action Month shirt—just in time to wear orange with us for Hunger Action Day on September 29!
Every donation helps move West Central Texas closer to our Million Meal Challenge goal while helping keep food available for neighbors across our 13-county service area.
Grab a bag. Fill it with food. Drive through. Help feed our neighbors.
