Senior Programs

The Food Bank of West Central Texas and our community partners work together to ensure that seniors have access to nutritious food options through a variety of programs.

Senior Distribution

The Food Bank of West Central Texas proudly supports senior residents through the Senior Distribution Program at Rose Park Senior Center.

Twice each month, we provide fresh produce and wholesome food items to help local residents age 55 and older stay healthy and nourished.

In 2024 alone, we shared more than 113,000 pounds of nutritious food with local seniors and that number continues to grow thanks to the support of our community and volunteers.

Who Can Participate
  • Seniors age 55 and older
  • Residents of Taylor County

No paperwork is required. Simply stop by and register on-site. We’ll be happy to welcome you!

Please bring a reusable bag or box to carry your food items. Our friendly volunteers are often available to help load your vehicle, though assistance may vary depending on volunteer availability.

Senior Feeding Programs

The Food Bank of West Central Texas proudly partners with several senior feeding programs across our 13-county service area, ensuring that our local senior residents have consistent access to nutritious meal options.

Many of these senior feeding sites are located within local senior activity centers, where participants can enjoy congregate hot meals in a welcoming, social setting. Additional programs provide home-delivered meals for those with limited mobility and nonperishable take-home meal packs for continued nourishment between visits.

Together with our community partners and volunteers, we’re helping seniors stay healthy, independent, and connected — one meal at a time.
